From Claudio Cortese, 4Science  More and more institutions are adopting DSpace-CRIS and DSpace-GLAM worldwide.  There is a growing interest around our open source solutions based on DSpace, with more and more institutions adopting them worldwide. Slides from a recent webinar entitled “DSpace-CRIS: How it Works and how to Leverage it” were  presented by: Susanna Mornati, 4Science COO & Andrea Bollini, CTIO, 4Science. Slides from the webinar are available here.

To give a better idea of the growing DSpace-CRIS – DSpace-GLAM community, we have created a new page on the wiki: https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSPACECRIS/DSpace-CRIS+Users.

If your institution is not listed, please add it and jump into the community! Your experience will be valuable for all other organizations that are using it or interested in it, and you will have the chance of getting in contact to develop new projects together.

A recent addition to the list of the running DSpace-CRIS installations is the Technische Universitat Hamburg-Harburg (TUHH). After a training session [slides available here: https://www.slideshare.net/4Science/dspacecris-technical-level-introduction] and an ongoing consultancy, they successfully migrated their repository, https://tubdok.tub.tuhh.de/, to DSpace-CRIS 5.8, enabling the ORCID Integration based on the ORCID API v2.

Last but not least, 4Science sealed a strategic partnership with Avicenna Research, a company based in the United Arab Emirates, with the purpose of enhancing and disseminating research from the Arab World. Both companies share the same passion when it comes to empowering researchers and research organizations across the globe. By leveraging the expertise of the two teams, academic institutions can effectively collect and manage research data and information. Avicenna Research and 4Science aim to provide services and technologies based on DSpace, supporting research collaboration, dissemination and innovation.
